{Project} Gift Wrap Elfa Organizer

January must be THE month to get organized.  I've noticed it around the blogging world and all the January retail sales geared for organizing.  Must be a New Year's Goal thing, which as much a planner that I am, I don't really make New Year resolutions for myself.  I did organize the pantry, but this post is not about that.  I did, however, organize my bin of gift wraps last fall and hoping others would find this post useful to them.  Here's how it all went down...

Not so long ago, when it's time to look for a gift bag, I had to dig in my bin of bags and tissue...

Which is behind a stack of heavy srapping projects...

So when I saw Jen's posts over @ iHeartOrganizing, I found my solution.  And she had two, here's the other one.   I headed over The Container Store last October or maybe September during their shelving sale.  I showed them a pic from Jen's blog and their crew was excited for my over-the-door organizing project.  Ta-da, let's take a closer look...

Starting from the bottom, I used the large deep basket as the base for the rolls of gift wraps and extra bags.  The upper part was the wall rack media system.  The gift wrap rolls could go through the media rack.  It could also hold my white ceramic pots from Ikea that had some gift tags, ribbon scraps, and washi tape.

I also hung some tissue paper on the media rack...

Next was another deep basket for more gift bags...

The next 4 upper shelves were the shallow baskets to use for folded tissue and treat bags...

Another for curling ribbon and rolls of crepe paper...

And finally, little holiday bags, containers and other extras that were in that bin...

For all those birthday gifts, baby showers and holidays throughout the year, it's been very useful not having to dig for these wrapping essentials.  It's also been very handy for my last minute prep teaching Sunday School, haha.  They're always asking for yarn, which I don't have but I got curling ribbon!

And I love my punch holders, too.  I think they're towel racks from Ikea.  They don't have the same black ones anymore and I regret not buying more back then :(

By the way, did you know The Container Store is having an Elfa sale right now?  Yup, they're 30% off, yey!  That's how I got started on the pantry project :)

Yup, I shut the door just to stare at its full glory, lol!
