Yummy Cupcakes

Faith Ella's turning 1 next month. So for her invitations, I made cupcake cards. I got the template from Lindsey's Blog. Click here for the link.

This is the first card I tried. I just punched a couple of circles and heat embossed to "frost" the cupcake top.
These next cards I added rhinestone adhesives from Michael's to add some sparkles and bling! I also punched "You're Invited" tags so that people know it's an invitation, of course. That stamp is from the Tiny Talk (already retired) stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Inside, I typed a little poem...
Let's celebrate with treats and fill our tummies with all things sweet...
There'll be lots of cupcakes and ice cream, hooray!

Recycled Containers

More babies due soon from work and so I finally used these cylinders that I've been saving for gifts. I think the containers are from the Oberto Beef Jerky that my co-teacher buys from Sam's Club. Thanks Kathy!

I punched a bunch of scallop flowers and cut the petals. Got the idea from Patty's Stamping Spot, click here for the link.

The leaves were punched using a circle punch. I used retired designer/patterned paper to wrap the cylinder. I think the blue paper might have been from Creative Memories and the pink/brown of course is from Stampin' Up! My 12 x 12 paper, however, was not long enough to cover all the way around. So I had to cut another piece to make sure everything that I wanted covered was covered.

Enjoy!

It's a Retirement Party!

I made the first card with the retiring Snow Flurries stamp set using Rose Red and Chocolate Chip ink pads and I actually cased this from another SCS member, abigailadrienne. Click here for her card.

The next card, I used the retiring Polka Dots and Paisley stamp set using Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Marigold Morning, and Chocolate Chip ink pads. I love how the bow turned out. It was featured in one of the Stampin' Success magazines I think. This layout was also inspired from somewhere else but I couldn't find the original source anymore.

It's June already!

For the end of the month workshop, I made 3 cards. Two of them featured the Tart & Tangy set:

The 3rd one, I just needed to use up more scraps in the easiest way possible:

And Faith Ella is 8 1/2 months. Still such a cutie and a joy! Check out this funny clip:

An Afternoon Tea

My SU upline had a workshop today for this scrapbook purse using the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper. I love how the groovy guava, wild wasabi, and chocolate chip coordinates together.

The inside has pockets that contain the Carousel Notes and we used the Live Your Dream stamp set.I've seen the original version and others on SCS and on other blogs. My original plan was to give it as a Mother's Day gift, but now I'm thinking of keeping it. I might just have to make some more.

Ooops, I missed March!

March just flew by. Spring Break was in March and we spent a week in Portland/Vancouver and a weekend at the Oregon Coast in Lincoln City. It's refreshing to see so much water again.

Faith already turned 7 months this week. She loves her MushaBelly Mushkin! They both just roll over and fall asleep during nap time. "What a cutie," says her mommy.

Now on to stamping...I had a workshop end of March and for the stampers, they made five 3x3 cards with a lidded box. We used the Greetings Galore set, white cardstock, ribbons, and markers to color the images, all from Stampin Up of course.

To make the box, I got the tutorial from Andrea Walford. Here's the link to her website: http://andreawalford.com/?page_id=85

I also finally created some 6 x 6 pages using the Home Again Simply Scrappin Kit. I followed the scrap maps that were in our SU Demonstrator Website. Super easy and quick and I had a lot of fun working on it.

A Baby Shower Treat

Our school counselor's having a baby shower so I thought I'd actually make some Stampin' Up creations for her. I wrapped the tin cans from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf with leftover Winter Bright Scrapbooking Kit. I plan on filling them with cotton balls and cotton swabs. The onesie cards came from Lauren Meader of SCS. Here's the link to her tutorial: http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/02/05/create-your-own-onesie-card-tutorial-and-important-note-please-read/

I made 10 Thank You cards from Nursery Necessities stamp set and 10 Announcement cards from Bundle of Joy stamp sets. The envelopes also have coordinating stamped images on them.

A lot of fun to make, but also time consuming. Punching out the scallop circles for the trim was a bit tedious. But this turned out really cute!

Happy Valentine's Week!

Faith is almost 5 months old! About a week ago, she had her first cereal feeding. It's a little messy, but she's able to take it all in. She's also been working on her tummy time and turning over.

I'm trying out these video uploads. 'hope it works...

Stampin' Up Open House

This weekend, I'm having an open house to celebrate the new Stampin' Up catalog. I made 4 cards, 3 using the So Many Scallops from the SAB promo and the other 1 using Nursery Necessities. They're very easy and I mainly use the leftover paper from our holiday cards workshop and they're not even Christmas cards!
